Love is the message of the cross.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved (John 3:16-17 NKJV).

But God clearly shows and proves His own love for us, by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8 AMP).

As lovers of Christ, we shout AMEN and HALLELUJAH! His death and resurrection paved the way for our liberty and abundant living. Resurrection Sunday culminated the plan of salvation just days after Jesus uttered: It is finished.

This grace, mercy, and incredible love came at such a cost.  This awesome plan of salvation should bring jubilation to every Christian.  Read with me Psalms 103:2-5 TPT:

Yahweh, you are my soul’s celebration. How could I ever forget the miracles of kindness you’ve done for me?  You kissed my heart with forgiveness, in spite of all I’ve done. You’ve healed me from the inside and out from every disease. You’ve rescued me from hell and saved my life. You’ve crowned me with love and mercy. You satisfy my every desire with good things. You’ve supercharged my life so that I soar again like a flying eagle in the sky.

When you received Jesus as your Savior, you also received the gift of righteousness which enables you to reign in life (Romans 5:17). This too is awesome news and reigning in life is possible. However, some Christians are overwhelmed and defeated.

Why is this? Isaiah 54:17 reads that the weapons formed against us shall not prosper, yet many Christians find themselves under the gun. Victory escapes them.

In righteousness you shall be established. When you are established in righteousness, you will be far from oppression and terror, for it shall not come near you (Isaiah 54:14).

But what is the meaning behind being established in righteousness?

To be established is to have His righteousness as your very foundation for security and identity. God says you are righteous. Period. It’s a done deal.

So, to keep the enemy’s weapon at bay you must settle in your mind that you are righteous. That’s the condition! Remind yourself of that, grow in it, be sure of that truth.  It’s part of your spirit man.

You are righteous by the blood of Jesus. This was established by His perfect sacrifice at the cross. It wasn’t anything you could do.

If you feel as if you’re in a storm and caught in a whirlwind of fear and worry—stop! Remind yourself of who you are and declare:  I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Become comfortable speaking truth to yourself. Do this repeatedly when the opposing weapons come your way. You will begin to notice the fear and worry leave you.

God wants you to be liberated and living the abundant life. As you keep believing and confessing, you will experience the release of God’s power in you to reign.
